Graduate Survey Series, which compiles information on study, career entry, career development and further qualifications of higher education graduates using standardised surveys. The first Graduate Panel was created in 1989. Since then, every fourth graduate year (cohort) has been surveyed. For each graduate cohort, a series of survey waves are carried out, with each wave occurring at differing time intervals following the completion of degree. The DZHW Graduate Panel 2005 comprises the fifth graduate cohort of the survey series. In contrast to preceding graduate cohorts, the study phase of the 2005 cohort is defined by the transformation of higher education through the Bologna Process. With respect to this academic structural reform, a significant number of Bachelor graduates were surveyed for the first time in addition to graduates of traditional courses of study. Only graduates of subjects with a large number of graduates were considered. In addition to the changing academic environment, the graduate cohort 2005 also faced different labour market conditions than previous cohorts, whereby the beginning of the economic and financial crisis in 2008 marks their career entry.","lang":"en"},{"descriptionType":"Abstract","description":"Das DZHW-Absolventenpanel 2005 ist Teil der DZHW-Absolventenstudienreihe, in der anhand von standardisierten Befragungen Informationen zu Studium, Berufseintritt, Berufsverlauf und Weiterqualifizierung von Hochschulabsolvent(inn)en erfasst werden. Für jede Absolvent(inn)enkohorte werden mehrere Befragungswellen durchgeführt, wobei jede Welle in unterschiedlichem zeitlichen Abstand zum Studienabschluss stattfindet. Beim Absolventenpanel 2005 handelt es sich um die fünfte Absolvent(inn)enkohorte der Studienreihe. Im Unterschied zu vorangegangenen Absolvent(inn)enkohorten ist die Studienphase der Kohorte 2005 durch den Hochschulwandel im Rahmen des Bologna-Prozesses geprägt. In diesem Zuge wurden nicht nur Absolvent(inn)en traditioneller Studiengänge, sondern erstmalig auch eine nennenswerte Anzahl an Bachelorabsolvent(inn)en befragt, wobei lediglich Absolvent(inn)en aus Fächern berücksichtigt wurden, für die bereits eine größere Absolvent(inn)enzahl vorlag. coexistence of manufacturer brands and retailer brands in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) product categories in the radically-shaped grocery retail landscape characterised by high retail consolidation and concentration, as well as direct competition between brands owned and managed by owners of the grocery retail shelves (retailer brands) and those owned and managed by their suppliers (manufacturer brands). The thesis argues firstly, that an FMCG/supermarket environment characterised by high retail consolidation and concentration does not necessarily lead to an overdominance of retailer brands in relation to manufacturer brands in the product categories. There are deeper underlying factors that support equilibrium points between the two types of brands. Secondly it is argued that, in addition to consumer choice considerations, aspects of strategic dependency between manufacturer brands and retailer brands have relevance for the determination of policies that govern the coexistence of the two types of brands in the categories. The aspects of strategic dependency examined are product innovation and category support. Finally it is argued that, in the New Zealand FMCG/supermarket landscape characterised by high retail consolidation and concentration, and direct competition between brands owned and managed by owners of the grocery retail shelves (retailer brands) and those owned and managed by their suppliers (manufacturer brands); despite the fact that there is an asymmetrical power relationship that is in favour of the grocery retail chains vis-a-vis manufacturers, it is actually expert and referent bases of power rather than coercive power that are dominant in the coexistence relationship of the two types of brands. The study is set in the realist variant of the interpretive paradigm and adopts the case study research methodology. The research process involves a review of the literature, a preliminary study into retailer brand share trends in four countries, a pilot study, and the main study which is New Zealand based. The main study involves in-depth interviews with supermarket retailers, FMCG manufacturers and industry experts; as well as instore category observation studies. The mode of data analysis employed is content analysis. Hazards of Chemical Compounds in the Work Area has re-evaluated methyl chloride [74-87-3], considering all toxicological end points. Critical effects are neurotoxicity and reduced fertility. The NOAEC for adverse effects on fertility in male rats after 3-month exposure was 150 ml/m. A NAEC of 100 ml/mfor reduced fertility in male rats was estimated from a 2-year study.The NOAEC for degenerations of the cerebellar granular layer is 150 ml/m in mice. Slight behavioural toxic effects were observed in humans at a concentration of 200 ml/m; neurotoxic effects developed at much higher concentrations. On the basis of neurotoxic effects in humans and reduced fertility and severe neurotoxic effects in animals, the maximum concentration at the workplace (MAK value) for methyl chloride has been lowered to 10 ml/m. As the critical effect of methyl chloride is systemic, Peak Limitation Category II is retained. The initial half-live in humans is below one hour, so an excursion factor of 1 is determined. Methyl chloride is genotoxic in vitro only at very high concentrations of 8000 ml/m and above. DNA adducts were not observed even with very high concentrations of methyl chloride. From in-vivo- and metabolism-studies it can be concluded that cytotoxic and secondary genotoxic effects are of prime importance. Thus, methyl chloride is not regarded as a germ cell mutagen. The observed kidney tumours occurred only in one species and sex (male mouse) and can be explained with a mechanism, that is of no relevance in humans. In comparison with methyl bromide and methyl iodide, carcinogenic effects of methyl chloride due to alkylating effects are not to be expected. However, a possible formation of DNA adducts cannot be completely excluded. If at all, these are only formed at concentrations far exceeding the MAK value and even then only to a very small extent, so that it is of no significance for the situation at the workplace. Methyl chloride is therefore not classified in a Carcinogen Category. There are no data on developmental neurotoxicity, therefore methyl chloride is assigned to Pregnancy Risk Group D. Skin contact is not expected to contribute significantly to systemic toxicity.
