The WET Labs ECO-NTUSB 650 was deployed on 2016-10-09 at Ocean Networks Canada. Ocean Networks Canada operates the world-leading cabled ocean observatories for the advancement of science and the benefit of Canada. These observatories collect data on physical, chemical, biological, and geological aspects of the ocean over long time periods, supporting research on complex Earth processes in ways not previously possible. This device is a Turbidity Meter. Turbidity meters are sensors that detect scattered light from suspended particles in water. The amount of scattered light that reaches the detector is proportional to the turbidity or particle concentration in the water. It was deployed on a FIXED platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Network Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
